Hanna

Just had to show a cute quick gift idea. This is the second set I've made in the last few months. This one was for a sweet friend of mine who had just had a little girl.
  • I simply purchased the letters from my local craft store and covered them with designer series paper from Stampin' Up! (Hint: SU's Hobby Blade allowed me to cut paper out of tight places like these letters required).
  • After adhering the paper to the letters with Mono Adhesive, I painted over the paper with a lacquer to protect them.
  • Coordinating grosgrain and taffeta ribbon were tied around the "H" and "A" for a quick embellishment. (Hint: All of Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper coordinates with their inks and ribbons, taking the guesswork out of coordinating. And our Craft and Paper scissors cut ribbon like it was butter!)

  • To add a bit of pizazz I used several Stampin' Up! punches to create the layered flower. (Hint: Don't have a leaf punch on hand? Simply use 2 of the petals from the 5-Petal Flower punch to create the illusion of leaves.)
  • A Whisper White button from the Button Latte collection and some Linen Thread were adhered with a mini glue dot to complete the look. (Hint: The addition of some Stampin' Dimensionals under the flower really makes it POP off of the letter.)
Not only did it make for an adorable centerpiece, but my friend was able to take it home that night and place it directly into her sweet baby's room.
