Birthday Celebrations: Gift Ideas-Day 14

I'm back-for those of you that weren't aware we moved so thus the reason behind my three week hiatus, but most boxes are unpacked and things are settling down so I'm back and have an incredibly cute gift idea for today. This was an easy birthday gift to throw together and it uses one of my all time favorite stamps! I seriously have used this for so many occasions! See here and here.

For this fun ensemble I placed a box of Funfetti cake mix, Funfetti Frosting (which comes with the rainbow sprinkles), and cupcake liners in a cello bag. Before placing them in the bag (purchased at your local craft store) I placed some coordinating paper shred to add some color pop. The curly ribbon bow is one you'll find at any store in the party section and screams "Happy Birthday".

Here's how I created the Yummy tag: I used the stamp Simple Birthday Thanks which is a single stamp designed as a child's thank you stamp.
First, I stamped the base if the cupcake image on Brushed Silver card stock, the muffin top on Pretty in Pink card stock, and the cherry on Real Red card stock. I stamped all of these images with Going Gray ink.
  • I carefully cut out each piece with my Paper Snips. These allow you to really make very detailed cuts-LOVE them! (HINT: Make sure when stamping the cupcake base to leave a bit of the muffin top so that the real muffin top has something to adhere to.)
  • Color the stem of the cherry using a Stampin' Write marker in Chocolate Chip.
  • Cover the cherry with Crystal Effects to give it that shiny look. Set aside and allow to dry thoroughly.
  • Next, I stamped the Happy and Birthday sentiment using the Happy Everything set in Versamark ink. With the help of my Heat Tool I embossed the sentiment with White embossong powder. (HINT: Don't forget to gently rub your embossing buddy across your paper prior to stamping with the Versamark. This will ensure that your embossing powder will stick to the Versamark only and not anywhere else on your card.)
  • The final touch were some "sprinkle" inspired dots which I made using a pink puffy paint material. (HINT: These could easily be recreated using Stampin' Up!'s pink Fine Supernova Glitter and some Crystal Effects.)
  • I adhered the cupcake together using some SNAIL Adhesive, attached it directly to the bag with some mini glue dots and my gift was ready to go.
