Perfect Pumpkin Place Settings

With Thanksgiving entertaining just around the corner, I thought I'd share an adorable idea I used last year for place settings. These were made in a snap and welcomed each guest as they arrived.

I started out by cutting two sheets of Pumpkin Pie card stock into 1" strips. Next, I rolled them with the Bella's Border Stampin' Around wheel in Pumpkin Pie ink. (HINT: Don't forget that less is more. Instead of using a different ink color I simply used the same as my paper to create that tone on tone look. Simple and classy.) I punched a hole through the top and bottom of the strips using my Crop-A-Dile.

I then knotted the bottom of a 4" piece of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon and threaded it through the holes-first through all of one end (this becomes your bottom of the pumpkin), then after folding the strips over, thread through the other end. Knot the top of the ribbon and spread the strips apart to create the pumpkin shape. Attach the tag with your guests' name on it to the ribbon with a bit of Linen Thread.
Here's a view of what the bottom will look like.

Here's a close up of the tag. I stamped each guests name in Old Olive ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The "With Gratitude" sentiment was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink. It was part of a stamp set by the same name but has since been retired unfortunately. There are many others you could use. See the bottom of this post.
