Counting Down to Christmas

Todays idea is an idea I cased from Beate Johns. She has some great ideas.

Isn't it neat? It's GORGEOUS in person. I started with a 16x20 blank canvas. The tins are from Wilton and can be found in the wedding section of most craft stores. They are intended to be used as wedding favors. All the paper is Stampin' Up! card stock and Designer Series Paper. The paper was adhered with Sticky Strip. The tins were attached with velcro. The title is from our On Board Timeless Type chipboard letters that were covered in Tombow adhesive and Dazzling Diamonds. (HINT: Using precut chipboard letters is a fast and easy way to create a WOW factor.) The letters were then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. As a finishing touch I ran Sticky Strip around the outside of the frame and covered it with our 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.
Here's a close-up of the fronts of a few tins. The bottom layer of Designer Series Paper was punched with the Scallop Circle Punch. Next, I punched a piece of vellum card stock with our 1 3/8" Circle Punch and adhered it directly on top to create a "frosty" look. to complete the lids, I used a variety of materials to embellish them.
You really can go crazy and have fun with this project.
Here's a close-up of the title.
I know the picture doesn't do it justice, but it really is stunning in the light. Here's a list I found on Ali Edwards blog with ideas to place in the tins...enjoy!
