"Tin" the Season!

Today's project is especially dear to my heart, or should I say stomach, because Reeses' Peanut Butter Cups are my ultimate favorite treat. I saw this idea from Nicole Heady and had to try it.
Here is a photo of the finished product. Super easy, but they look like they took some effort to create.

I started with a 4 oz tin from here.

Next I cut a piece of designer series paper to line the inside of the tin. Some Sticky Strip helped to adhere it to the inside edge.

Then I stamped the images onto Whisper White card stock in Real Red ink. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the image in Garden Green ink. I used the 1-1/4" circle punch to punch them out and added the little self adhesive rhinestones, which I had purchased years ago. They were the perfect fit. The tin holds 8 mini Reeses' cups perfectly. The treats are visible through the clear lid so the recipient gets a sneak peek of the goodies inside. The finishing touch was to add a belly band of 5/8" red satin ribbon and decorative stamp on top.

I also made up some peppermint bark to fit inside the 8oz. tins, found here. I used our 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Real Red for the band on this tin. The image was stamped in Real Red and Old Olive inks onto a rectangular piece of Whisper White card stock. I used the 3/16" Corner Rounder to "soften" the edges. I stamped a second image of the tree and punched it out with the 1" circle punch and "popped" it up with a Stampin' Dimensional. I really love these little tins-there are so many possibilities. I'd love to see what uses for them you come up with.
