Sweet Treat Ideas

Well yesterday was an exciting day here at Stampin' Sentiments with the launch of a new challenge blog Hand Stamped Sentiments. The first challenge is under way and we'd love for you to participate with us.
Today I just wanted to share a few more easy Valentine gift ideas. This is an idea I did last year for my sons class. You can read all the details here.

The second idea I'd like to share with you is this sweet milk carton. The minute I saw this die I had to order it. It's the new Mini Milk Carton Die from Stampin' Up! You can find it in the Occasions Mini Catalog and order it here. I couldn't wait to begin to create with it. It must be the teacher in me *wink*

I began by running the die though my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine along with a sheet of Kraft card stock. (Unfamiliar with a Big Shot? Click here to view the video.) After folding all the scored lines I adhered the side and bottom closed with Sticky Strip. For the top I added Sticky Strip to half the length, this way I could have the other side open to create a spout.

Next I cut a strip of Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and wrapped it around the carton to create a belly band. A piece of Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon was tied in a bow around the band and secured with Mini Glue Dots. The hearts were stamped with the NEW I {heart} Hearts stamp set. This is one of Stampin' Up!'s NEW Clear Mounted sets. I am in LOVE with these. Here is a great video about them. They make the placement of images sooo easy and precise. And the best thing is that the three heart image of the set coordinates perfectly with the Heart to Heart Punch. (It also comes in Wood Block form if you prefer that, yea!) So after stamping the image in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock I simply used the punch to pop the images out. The smaller heart was adherd with my Two-Way Glue Pen while the larger one was placed with a Stampin' Dimensional to add some depth.

I saw this label idea while browsing on another blog. The "sweet treats" sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped in Basic Brown ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched with the Small Oval Punch. This was layered onto a piece of Pretty In Pink card stock punched with the Large Oval Punch. This was layered onto a piece of Real red card stock punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. One of our NEW 1/2" Sending Love Expoxy Brads in Real Red was the perfect addition to attach the label to the milk carton.
OH-and of course the most important detail...What did I fill my carton with? Strawberry Whoppers of course, YUMM-O!
