Happy Birthday -A Card/Mixer

Ok, I know the title is lame, but I couldn't think of anything clever to call this post. Today is my birthday and this is what awaited me this morning! I seriously have the best husband. It's the color I wanted and everything! I can't wait to put it to use. I really want to start making homemade bread. Anyone have any EASY and yummy recipes they'd like to share? I've never attempted it and am a bit intimidated, but excited at the same time.
Now on to today's card...

I know you are shocked that this card contains yet another Sweet Treat Cup. I'm telling you these things are so easy to add to your cards and I think they're such an easy and immediate WOW factor.

This card was so quick to put together. I started with a Pink Passion Textured card stock base. I really love using the Textured Paper because it automatically adds a decorative touch to the card. Next I used my Scallop Circle #2 Bigz die to punch out the scalloped circle in Gable Green card stock. (TIP: This die contains two scalloped circles on it. I used the larger of the two.) Then I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and made a " circle with my Circle Scissor Plus. I took my 1-3/4" Circle Punch and pinched a circle in the middle for the Sweet Treat Cup to fit into.

To create the flower I stamped the petals in Lavendar Lace Classic Ink and the leaves in Green Galore Classic Ink and cut them out with my Paper Snips. These images are from the Something Sweet set that was created to go with the Sweet Treat Cups. I adhered them around the center circle with the 2-Way Glue Pen. I removed the adhesive from the back of the cup and also ran my SNAIL Adhesive around the back of the Whisper White circle just to add some more strength. After placing the Treat Cup in place, I adhered the layers to the front of the Green Scallop Circle. This was adhered to the base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the birthday sentiment, from the set, On Your Birthday, in Basic Brown Classic Ink before adding the finishing touch of a piece of our BRAND NEW 5/8" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. This is a new item in our Occasions Mini Catalog. This was the first time I'd used it and I was really impressed at how easy it is to manipulate. It's beautiful and comes in some gorgeous colors. I secured the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot to hold it in place.
