Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge (HSSIC6)

Good Morning! Today there is a brand new Inspiration Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. We'd love for you to join us in creating something that inspires you.

For my card today I chose to do a St. Patrick's Day theme using the colors from the Inspiration Challenge. I started with a Kraft card stock base, I used my 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch on the outside edge, and stamped the Polka Dot background stamp in Versa Mark ink. Next, I used Clear Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool to set it. (FYI: The Polka Dot stamp is a retired stamp, but I love it so much that I have kept it. I LOVE dots! If you Love a set- Keep it!) A piece of Garden Green card stock was added with SNAIL Adhesive after rounding the far corners. I ran a piece of Barely Banana card stock though my Big Shot using the Scallop Circle die. This was adhered off center with SNAIL Adhesive and I simply trimmed the edge off with Paper Snips. I used my Circle Scissor Plus to cut a circle out of Very Vanilla card stock

The Full Heart Punch was used to punch 4 hearts out of Kiwi Kiss card stock. (FYI: Kiwi Kiss is also retired. I really hope they bring those In Colors back. It was my favorite set of all time! The colors are so vibrant, hint hint SU!). I stamped the vine heart image from the I {heart} Hearts set using the 'C' block in Versa Mark ink and used Clear Embossing Powder on it. (HINT: I LOVE embossing, can you tell? It gives your project instant glam and it's so fun to do!) After heat setting them I crumbled them a bit in my hand to create a distressed look. These were attached to the Very Vanilla circle using a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals.I wanted a lot of height for the "clover" image. The Very Vanilla circle was adhered to the Barely Banana Scallop with a single layer of Stampin' Dimensionals. Linen Thread was tied through a Rose Red button from the Fresh Favorites Colored Buttons and attached with a Mini Glue Dot. The finishing touches were the addition of some Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon along the bottom and the "happy st. patrick's day" sentiment, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, was stamped in Very Vanilla Craft Ink.  (HINT: The Teeny Tiny Wishes set is a necessity! I know I've said this before, but I can not stress it enough. If you don't have a huge array of sentiment stamps, this set is perfect. I was a bit bummed at the end because I felt it needed some sort of phrase on it and just happened to check this set and voila-perfect.)

I hope today's card inspires you to try out our Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week. You can find all the details here, and don't forget to stop by to see what the other two design team gals have come up with. You can see Genny's here and Erin's here. And as always...
