HSS-Anything BUT A Card Challenge-9

Good Morning and welcome to the first Anything But A Card Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This week ANYTHING GOES as long as it's not a card. You could do a lot with this challenge! With Easter just around the corner I made two different baskets for this week's challenge. They were both really fast and simple and would be great for neighbors, co-workers, or children's classmates, anything where you have to make multiples because you can do these so quickly.

The first basket was cased from Michelle Tech. It was created by running the Scallop Circle Bigz Die through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine with a piece of Pumpkin Pie Textured card stock. Next I rounded it to make a cone shape and secured it with Sticky Strip. Two Pumpkin Pie eyelets were added to the top edges with the Crop-A-Dile and a piece of Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon was strung through to create a handle. The sentiment, from the A Good Egg set, was stamped in Basic Brown ink onto So Saffron card stock and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. This was layered onto a piece of Certainly Celery card stock punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. The entire layer was adhered with Mini Glue Dots to the front of the "carrot".
For the Bunny I stamped the Chocolate Bunny image in Versa Mark ink onto a piece of Close to Cocoa card stock and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder, then trimmed it with Paper Snips. This was adhered to the inside of the basket with Mini Glue Dots. The "filling" was made by running Garden Green card stock through a Crimper and cutting it into thin strips. (HINT: This is a great way to create custom shredded paper to match your projects.)

For my next basket I was inspired by a project from Andrea Walford created. You can see it here. I started by running a piece of Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad (FYI: This is an EXCLUSIVE product for Sell-A-Bration. Tomorrow is the last day so make sure you don't miss out on some great products. Details are here.) through the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine using the Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die. After adhering it with my Two-Way Glue Pen and Sticky Strip I created a belly band using Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip card stock. The Chocolate Chip strip was punched on each side with the Scallop Edge Punch. These were adhered to each other with SNAIL Adhesive. Before attaching the band with Sticky Strip I stamped the "happy easter" sentiment in Basic Brown ink onto the Bashful Blue card stock strip.

The Chick was stamped twice in Basic Brown ink onto Whisper White card stock. One image was completely cut out while I cut out only the shell from the other. Using a Blender Pen I took some Barely Banana INk Refill and lightly colored in the chick. I then went over the edges with Apricot Appeal Ink Refill to add some depth. A touch of Only Orange was added to his beak. He was adhered with the help of Stampin' Dimensionals. The shell was added with the help of TWO layers of Stampin' Dimensionals so that it would sit higher than the chick. The final touch was the addition of a Chocolate Chip bow, on the handle, using our NEW 5/8" Satin Ribbon. I LOVE this ribbon-it's so easy to manipulate and is so classy looking. I hope you'll be inspired to join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments. And don't forget to check out the other designers projects here and here.
