Hand Stamped Sentiments Anything But A Card Challenge 13

Good Morning and welcome to another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This week we have an Anything But A Card Challenge (HSSABAC13). I really look forward to these challenges because they allow me to stretch those creative juices a bit.

Today's projects were made for a very special friend's big 30th birthday this past weekend. In fact she is the one who introduced me to her mom, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and how I came to be involved with this great company. The theme for her big day was 'My Favorite Things'. I made these easy and fun cookie sleeves to hold some of her favorite cookies and of course eating all those cookies is bound to create quite a thirst, so I decorated these water bottles in her honor as well.

These Cookie Gift Sleeves were an idea on Martha Stewart's website. I started with CD envelope sleeves. These can be purchased at any office supply store. I was originally looking for white ones but came across these colored ones that were much more festive. I cut an 8"x 2-1/2" piece of Naturals White card stock. On the front side I stamped the "make a wish" image from the Birthday Bliss set in Pacific Point classic ink (FYI: Pacific Point is one of the colors making a comeback in July with Stampin' Up!'s Color Renovation. See all the color collections here). I added a bit of shimmer to the candles with the help of Stickles.

For the back of the strip I stamped this image from the On Your Birthday set in Versa Mark ink and embossed it with black embossing powder. I used Stampin' Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Pretty In Pink, and YoYo Yellow Markers to color the cake image. These were attached with SNAIL Adhesive.

For the band around the water bottles I used two mailing labels and placed them onto a piece of Brocade Blue card stock that was slightly wider than the labels. Then I used stamps from Look Who's Turning and On Your Birthday to decorate the front and back. These were stamped in Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Baja Breeze and Dusty Durango. A matching ribbon was tied around the seam of the labels and were adhered to the bottle with Sticky Strip.

Placed in a cute basket, you're all set for a fun and yummy evening.
The cookies are from Crumbles Cookies. They are definitely worth the drive if you don't happen to live nearby.
Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to stop by and see the other designers creations here and here.
