Easy Valentine Idea

Good Morning! Tomorrow is Valentine's and I wanted to share a quick and creative decor idea that I saw on Heather's blog of Crafting the Night Away . She has a ton of cute and easy crafts that she creates. As I get older I realize the saying "Less is more", really is so true. So now I am extra careful in choosing home decor items to make as it's easy to go overboard. When I saw this though, I knew I had to make it. A) it was easy, B) it was inexpensive, the only thing I had to buy was the frame, and C) I love repurposing items- like the Scrabble letters in this project.

What I loved about this frame is that it had a deep mat so I could replace the glass into the frame on top of the Scrabble pieces. Other frames wouldn't have allowed for the depth of the pieces and I would have had to leave the glass off, and in my house with little boys, that craft would have seen a quick demise.

The Scrabble letters are adhered with mini glue dots and I simply tied a bow around the side of the mat to add a little something extra. This project literally took my maybe 15 minutes and cost under $10.
I hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day. Don't forget to stop back Tuesday for the next Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!

Supplies: Scrabble Letters, Frame (Better Homes & Garden @ WalMart)
Paper: Basic Grey
Tools: Mini Glue Dots {103683}; Ribbon (retired)
