HSS Ribbons and Lace Theme Challenge #54

This morning we have a new challenge up at Hand Stamped Sentiments . How would you incorporate ribbon and lace onto a card?

I took the challenge literally and came up with this. I had done something similar before with scraps on a scrapbooking page and wanted to try to achieve the same look. (TIP: This is a great way to use up any scraps of ribbon/lace you may have.) I adhered the ribbon with mini glue dots. All in all it went quickly. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but once it was completed I was very happy with the finished product.

The top layer is stamped with the hostess set Apple Blossom.  I stamped the flowers several times onto scratch paper before I stamped it onto the Whisper White layer itself, this is called the "stamp off" technique. It's perfect when you want a softer image, which I did. I also added the pearls from our Basic Pearl Jewel Accent collection. This was just the right touch it needed.

I hope you're inspired to join us this week, we' love to have you.
