HSS Romantic Colors Challenge #53

Good morning! Today we have some exciting news over at Hand Stamped Sentiments . Drum roll please... we are excited to introduce 5 new additions to the design team. These gals are uber talented so be sure to stop by to see their projects for this weeks challenge. Speaking of this weeks challenge...here it is.
Time is scarce, to say the least, for me right now so I wanted to create a simple quick card that would incorporate my new addition. I really think its so easy to get caught up in all the techniques and embellishments that are readily available these days and its a nice change to get "back to basics." Many beginning crafters think they need EVERY product out there, but this card demonstrates that you can do a lot with a little. In fact I didn't even stamp this card.
It's all created with layers of paper. Designer Series Paper or any printed paper can make a bold statement, and it's great for masculine cards like in this case.
Be creative and don't forget to add some personal touches. Here I printed out black and white pictures of Carson and punched them out with my 1-1/4" square punch.

Carson- 2 mo. old

We would love for you to join us for this weeks challenge!

Paper: Basic Black card stock {121045}; Cherry Cobbler card stock {119685}; Newsprint Designer Series Paper {117166}
Tools: 1-1/4" Square Punch {119865}; Stampin' Dimensionals {104430}
Embellishments: 3/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon {109071}
