HSS Technique Challenge #69-Paper Piecing

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a Technique Challenge for ya...
But first, a quick shout out from this guy. He just started crawling today. Look out. Baby gate installation will begin this week.

So apparently, I don't have a lot of negative image stamp sets, which surprised me because the first set I ever bought was 'Swell News'. That was the cutest set! And great negative images. Anyway, I went with the only set I could think to work. I know it's a "safe" card, but like I mentioned before, I really need to invest in some new sets. I made this for my 4-year olds little friend. Her birthday is next week and I know she'll love this very pink card:)

Isn't the silver paper crimped just like a cupcake wrapper? LOVE it! And I used Liquid Applique and a heat tool to make the frosting effect around the top.
Come join us and create anything with the Paper Piecing technique. We'd love to see your project.

Oh my gosh....only 7 months old and crawling! WOW! My little guy just hates tummy time. That's fine with me. LOL! Great card, by the way. I love the silver paper, too! Looks good enough to peel back and take a bite. :)

Shannon,

You're baby is a cutie. Those eyes! I love how you crimped the paper for the cupcake and the pink frosting looks so yummy! Great use of the stamp.
