HSS Banner Bash #81

This weeks challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a popular one. Banners are the "in" thing right now and are popping up everywhere! I had so much fun creating my project for this week.

But first, a little love shout out to this guy. I missed last month and didn't want to do that again. Yesterday was the big 1-0, months that is. He is already standing by himself. None of mine have ever done this so early. We are in big trouble at our house.

And speaking of house, I have promised pictures (more like proof that I'm really doing what I say I'm doing), of the projects we are doing. It's been a wild week of renting cranes, yes cranes, to put up palm trees in the front yard and inside I am almost done painting the entertainment center. I am pooped out, but it will look amazing when its done. My husband Brian built this-he is really good! And I got to paint it, not so good:(

The top was a breeze, it was the bottom and these nine compartments that about did me in! Also, I want to repaint the surrounding walls. The color I picked is too bright for my liking, so I get to prime it and repaint. It will look good when it's done. I just have to keep the "big" picture in my mind. That's what I get for rushing into a color choice.

Now onto craftier topics. Wouldn't you love to open the mail and receive this? I thought it turned out fun and bright. Since it's pretty easy to figure out I will just list the materials below. I can't wait to be able to send this out or hand it to someone special. If you love pennants too stop by and join us this week at HSS.

Oooohhhh, Shannon! Your card puts the "happy" in Happy Birthday! So fun! Look at how cute your little guy is, too! Before you know it, he will be walking...Eeek! Love that entertainment center! I'm sure it's a lot of work but it will be so worth it in the end! :)

Your baby is so cute! Congrats on the 10 months but not on him walking soon. But he seems like such a good baby I can't see him getting into stuff. Your hubby sure is talented. Great job on the built-in. I'd like to have that done at my house. You'll have to post a pic when it's all done.

On to the card...I love how you spelled out Happy Birthday to You! So clever. I also love the colors and DSP. You've created a very festive and fun card.

Finally a card that has words I can actually spell!!! I loved the entertainment center too, man you are a work horse. :-) I am warming up to that DSP more and more when I see it used, I think I will actually break mine out of the palstic. :-)
