Good Morning Stampers! It has been wayyyy tooooo long since I've posted here. I hope today's card can make up for it a little.
I went back to work in October and let me tell you, it was quite a shock. Not the job part, but having to do it with three little ones in tow, not easy! Unfortunately, some things had to be put onto the back burner while I got my new responsibilities grasped. This week is the last week of school, so I figured I could ease my way back into HSS, and who am I kidding, I missed crafting so very much. This weeks challenge was very inspiring to me. I LOVE the color choices and really looked forward to it. For some reason I automatically knew I wanted to use the "Mouthwatering" set and the scented emboss powders. Yep, you heard me right, SU has scented embossing powders now, and yes, they really do work.
I started by stamping the popsicle image in Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight onto Whisper White card stock. I used Stampin' Write Markers to do this. Next, using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I re-stamped the image in Versa Mark and heat set it with the vanilla emboss powder. (SU also has a melon and cherry scent, YUM!)
This was layered onto Textured Basic Black card stock (cut with the 2-3/8" scallop punch), Whisper White card stock (created with the 2-1/2" circle punch), Paper Doily Sizzlit (punched with the Big Shot in Daffodil Delight Textured card stock), Basic Gray card stock run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Add some Fabulous Phrases stamped in Basic Black ink, some Daffodil Delight and Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon, 1/2" scallop dot ribbon in Basic Black and viola, there you have it.
Here is a close-up of the popsicles. I wish there were scentascreen through the computer. It really does smell so yummy. The vanilla reminded me of the old vanilla jello pops. Remember those?
Make sure to check out the other design teams creations and join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
