HSS Theme Challenge #139

Can you believe Fall has officially arrived? We decorated for Halloween this past weekend, but with the air blasting inside- as outdoors it was well into the 100's. Not very "fallish" for weather...
This week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments should help with that "feeling".

For this card I started out with Wisteria Wonder CS and a piece of patterned paper from the Summer Smooches collection. Then using my color spritzer and Elegant Eggplant marker I added some splatter effects to the front. I created the pumpkin with my wide oval punch. I added dimension by sponging the outer edges with Tangerine Tango ink. The "stems" were created with Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip CS rolled around a pencil. And the leaves were punched with the Bird Builder punch.

The final touches were adding the owl from the set and embossing the sentiment in black and adding a piece of Pumpkin Pie taffeta to the bottom. I was so excited to use this set. I LOVE Halloween and couldn't wait to break it out. If you're in the mood for some pumpkin creativity, stop by HSS and join us this week.

Cute card! I love that little owl, and the pencil curls.
